If you wish to know what your document looks like behind the scenes (what we call a source file), use the menu item Show HTML. This allows you to view the actual document and its HTML tags. This function can be useful especially if you are familiar with HTML already. While you can copy from the Show HTML window and save the source file as a text file, you cannot edit your document from the Show HTML screen.
Show HTML screen with NaviSoft's home page
The Show HTML screen opens with the same text highlighted.
The selected text is copied to the clipboard and you can now paste it into another window. One example of why you might use this function is to show how easy it is to use GNNpress. Simply copy the HTML into your document and the HTML tags appear just as they do in the Show HTML screen.
